COURT: "Judge orders immediate return of books"

One bad day for Cruella Devill'... ;)

McCann Case: Judge orders the immediate devolution of Gonçalo Amaral's Book

14 March 2012 | Posted by Joana Morais

Following the ruling of the Court of Appeals of Lisbon on October 14, 2010 in which the judges decreed that Gonçalo Amaral's books could be sold, revoking the first judgement of the Court a quo [lower court/court decision's that was appealed] that had granted a banning injunction, and in a new legal setback for the McCanns, we can now confirm that the judge has ordered the immediate devolution of the 7.500 copies of the book "Maddie, the Truth of the Lie" that were entrusted to Isabel Duarte, lawyer of the McCann couple. The lawyer has, of today, 10 days to fulfil that order.

On the other hand, we are also able to confirm that one of the several claims for defamation made by the McCann couple against several Portuguese persons, specifically one targeting criminal psychologist and university professor Dr. Paulo Sargento as been archived by the Public Ministry. Nevertheless, and according to information that was provided to us, the McCanns' lawyer, Isabel Duarte, intends to proceed with the claim despite not having the backing of the Public Minstry.

More news on this subject, on tomorrow's edition of Correio da Manhã.

In Spanish at Mercedes's blog, with muchas gracias for the breaking news.

    1. Hi. It was for real as Euro News published 1 article in French, announcing the cort, with its date and summing up the purposes of it (pffff) Yet still NO REPORT about it now and we don't know anything about these books and their 'return'.... If no news it's likely to mean they were destroyed as many suspect - WEIRD OR WHAT bloody hell!

  5. Hi and Thank You very MUCH for your Comments - and Visits. What stunns me is the LACK of reporting in the UK or GB about this court. I get the CLEAR feeling ))) well, MORE than a 'feeling', it's a FACT!((( that WHEN the NEWS are UNfavourable to the McCanns, a BLACK OUT is imminent, imposed (BY WHOM???!!!)

    - so HERE, NOW again WE have the ULTIMATE PROOF, EVIDENCE that the BRITISH MEDIA ARE COMPLETELY BIASED AND UNPROFESSIONAL, in DISAGREEMENT with any EQUALITY or DISCRIMINATION ACT!!!!!!

--Little COWARDS - ALL you get, more and more, is that ppl STOP bying your sheetrolls, STOP clicking on your sites and ADS, and stop visiting your STUPID, commercials-ridden TV channels! -- no one wonders why really!

  8. The books (7 500 copies) were supposed to be returned to Amaral's team by yesterday - deadline but there is, oh surprisingly, stricyly no news report about it. We are continuing to watch and record the situation.

It's 'funny' but suppression of news was common practice under Hitler's Regime.
